We use as much sustainable materials as possible in the construction of our skis. The materials highlighted here allow us to meet our goal of sustainability without sacrificing quality and performance.

Bamboo Ski Sidewalls

High Density Bamboo Fiber Sidewalls

HDBF is made from Moso bamboo that has been shredded so the strong fibers cab be

isolated from the sugars, waxes and soft material. These fibers are bonded under extreme pressure (more than 2000 tons). The result is a material that is extremely hard. The durability of HDBF provides excellent edge support and torsional stiffness.

Maintenance is minimal. HDBF is naturally water resistant. For extra protection we treat our sidewalls with boiled linseed oil. We recommend applying a new coat at the end of each season.

Basalt fabric

Basalt fibers are made from a single material: basalt rock. Basalt is crushed and melted. The molten rock is then extruded to produce continuous filaments. Basalt fabric is significantly stronger than fiberglass and is 100% natural.

Bio-Based Epoxy

Epoxy plays a major role in the construction of skis. Traditional epoxy also has a pretty hefty carbon footprint. We you Super Sap™ from Entropy resins. Super Sap is made with plant based carbon instead of petroleum and produces 33% less emissions compared to conventional resins.
